The Scenery
Beyond the entrance to Venus Bay you will find an amazing array of natural scenery and marine creatures.
Around Cape Radstock, the cliffs towering above the water are spectacular. Further south, islands like the Watchers, Flinders and Ward have rugged cliffs and abundant sealife. A multitude of reefs and bommies surround the area where Southern Ocean swells rise and present an almost surreal view as they crash and churn.

Marine Creatures
Dolphins often follow the boat and splash and play in the bow wave, their antics have to be seen to be believed. Sealions visit or can be visited at Bairds Bay, a few minutes from Venus Bay. In winter, ocassional encounters with whales can provide a special treat.
Of course, while fishing, all manner of fish will be seen. Tuna or barracouta can often be seen smashing into bait schools. From the deep, species like blue morwong, blue groper or the pshycadelic harlequin can be caught.

Birds like pelicans, gannets, gulls and terns will often be seen whilst out fishing. Beware the pesky mutton bird!
